Arya development breaks ground at 3565 Overland
By Dolores Quintana
A new, 119 unit mixed use apartment complex named Arya has broken ground at 3565-3585 S. Overland Avenue as reported by Urbanize Los Angeles. The developer of record is Helio, formerly Oakmont Capital, and their plans for the seven story complex were approved in 2020 by the city. The apartment units will sit above 2,00 square feet of retail businesses and the complex comes with 126 parking spaces that are divided between an underground parking level and on the ground level. The entire structure takes up the area from Charnock Road to Tabor Street.
This development applied for Transit Oriented Communities incentives to be able to build a structure this large that would be outside of the zoning in the area. The deal requires that the developer reserve eleven of the studio and one and two bedroom apartments as affordable housing.
The project is designed by Reed Architectural Group based on information from the city records according to Urbanize Los Angeles. A rendering on their website shows the building to be designed in the currently popular low rise contemporary style with an exterior of stucco and metal as shown on the Urbanize Los Angeles site.
