The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates (NCBA) has voted unanimously to send a letter telling Mayor Eric Garcetti that they strongly oppose the $2 million-dollar public safety giveaway to the Los Angeles Rams. The budget advocates are calling for the city to recoup the cost of providing LAPD officers to perform security at Ram’s games.
“Taking these officers off of their cases, or shifting them out of their critical roles to protecting public safety in order to subsidize a business owned by a billionaire is incredibly damaging to neighborhood safety and unwise,” wrote Jay Handal, Co-Chair, Budget Advocates.
