The Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society (SMBAS) has taken to free monthly field trips to the Malibu Lagoon. The next trip occurs August 28, and includes two separate excursions: the adult walk at 8:30 am, and the children and parents walk at 10:00 am.
The latter walk is shorter and features a short beach trip to allow children to play in the sand, along with a group of trip leaders whom are experienced in childcare.
Nature enthusiasts of all walks of life are encouraged to participate in these monthly outdoor excursions,
“We put out special effort to make our monthly Malibu Lagoon walks attractive to first-time and beginning birdwatchers,” says Grace Murayama of SMBAS.
