Business-focused Polsinelli adds M&A attorney to Century City firm

Century City law firm Polsinelli is boosting it Mergers and Acquisition arm with hot shot attorney Marc Leh joining the local office to add weight to the expanding company.

A member of the California Bar since 1986, Leh earned his law degree from UCLA Gould School of Law in 1986, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1982.

For the past 25 years, Leh has been involved in more than 250 merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions ranging in size from $10 million to more than $1 billion, according to Polsinelli.

The accomplished attorney said that he is looking forward to his appointment at Polsinelli as a principal in the firm’s national Corporate and Transactional Practice.

“I was attracted to Polsinelli for many reasons including the opportunity to expand my work in middle-market M&A,” said Leh, a third-generation Californian. “I particularly welcomed the opportunity to be a part of a growing coast-to-coast firm expanding not only in Los Angeles but San Francisco as well.”

Leh’s M&A transactions have ranged from complex, multi-party and multi-jurisdictional matters involving large teams of attorneys working in various countries around the world, to straight forward transactions residing entirely in the Southern California area.

“I’m really excited to be here,” Leh said about his new appointment, explaining that he has routinely assisted clients with private equity and venture capital transactions, equity and debt financings, and strategic alliance and joint venture transactions.

Polsinelli is also pleased to have Leh join the team according to Jon Henderson, chair of Corporate and Transactional Practice at the firm.

“We are excited to have Marc begin assisting clients with his practical legal guidance in a law firm that truly operates without geographic boundaries,” Henderson said. “Marc’s experience in complex deal making and his understanding of the goals of clients involved in M&A activity adds substantial depth of knowledge to our firm in Los Angeles and nationally.”

The diversity that Century City offers is a boon for Leh, who has worked with a wide-range of clients over the years, from Fortune 100 corporations to smaller individual and family-run businesses.

Leh has represented clients in numerous industries, including automotive, defense, fluid, and motion, electronics, consumer products, technology, real estate, textile, finance, biotech and medical devices and food and produce, according to the law firm.

Polsinelli is a first generation Am Law 100 firm, serving corporations, institutions, entrepreneurs and individuals nationally.

Their focus is on building enduring client relationships by providing practical legal counsel infused with business insight, the firm stated, “with a passion for understanding how to assist General Counsel and CEOs achieve their legal objectives.”

Polsinelli ranked 18th in number of U.S. partners, according to a recent survey in Law360 and has more than 740 attorneys in 19 offices.

Polsinelli was profiled in the June 2013 issue of The American Lawyer as the fastest-growing law firm in America over a five-year period and has maintained this position.

The firm focuses on healthcare, financial services, real estate, life sciences and technology, energy and business litigation, and has depth of experience in 100 service areas and 70 industries.
