A dog stolen from outside a Beverly Hills boutique, prompting a celebrity-driven effort to find the canine, was located Friday and was being reunited with its owner, police said.
Julia Cohen had reported her dog, Charlie, missing on Wednesday.
The police investigation led to Lynwood, where someone was found to be in possession of the animal, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin, who did not elaborate.
Celebrities such as Hilary Duff, Lea Michele, Lance Bass and George Lopez joined in the effort to find the dog, which is a fixture in front of Cohen’s Switch boutique, by posting tweets about their friend’s lost pet.
A $5,000 reward was reportedly offered for the pooch.
No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation, Subin said.
