A 26-year-old man was shot in the chest this morning when he and two friends left a bar in Westwood and got into an argument with four men in the parking lot, police said.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after the shooting, which took place about 2 a.m. at 1037 Broxton Avenue, Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez said.
The victim and two friends had just exited a bar and were confronted by the four suspects in the parking lot, where an argument ensued, Lopez said.
“One suspect pointed a gun at the victim and shot him in the chest,” Lopez said.
The suspects fled the scene in a silver-colored Nissan, he said.
The officer did not name the establishment which the victims exited, but the address he gave corresponds to Barney’s Beanery.
