A burglary suspect was shot and killed by police in the Hollywood Hills Saturday.
No officers were injured in the shooting, Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez said.
Police have not disclosed the suspect’s condition, but a source tells City News Service the man was fatally wounded.
It happened about 3:45 p.m. in the area of Nichols Canyon just north of Courtney Avenue and north of Hollywood Boulevard, police told reporters at the scene.
A resident came home and found the man inside, police said.
The suspect fled with undisclosed property, the homeowner called 911 and the officer-involved shooting resulted when the suspect was located during a search, according to the LAPD.
