The R-rated superhero adventure “Deadpool” again claimed the top spot at the North American box office over the weekend, extending its run at the top to three weeks, according to final figures released Monday.
The Ryan Reynolds film earned $31.1 million between Friday and Sunday, giving it a three-week haul of $285.2 million, according to comScore.
The critically panned “Gods of Egypt” debuted in second place with $14.1 million, while the animated sequel “Kung Fu Panda 3” collected another $8.9 million to give it a five-week total of $128.4 million.
The religious drama “Risen” took fourth place with $6.8 million, followed by the debut of “Triple 9,” which earned $6.1 million.
Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “Eddie The Eagle” ($6 million); “The Witch” ($5.1 million); “How to be Single” ($5 million); “Race” ($4.1 million); and “The Revenant” ($3.9 million).
