A woman was in custody today on suspicion of slashing a man’s neck in an incident of domestic violence in South Los Angeles, police said.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was in stable condition this morning, said Sgt. Cory Meisner of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Division. The slashing was reported at 9:12 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of West 64th Street, police said.
Police initially reported that the suspect was the victim’s daughter, but Meisner said that is not the case. He described as the incident as domestic but was not immediately certain of the relationship between the woman and the man.
The woman was taken into custody without incident around midnight, Meisner said. No details of the arrest were immediately released.
