A 19-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing three boys of their cell phones in Culver City.
The boys were walking along Ballona Creek, west of Overland Avenue, last Wednesday when they were confronted by a man who said he had a gun and then robbed the youths of their phones, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The juveniles gave police a detailed suspect description and Detective Ivan Hernandez followed up on leads and identified the suspect, who was taken into custody about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle.
When arrested, Ezykel Audinette “was found to be in possession of a cellular phone that was taken in an additional robbery that was reported earlier in the month,” according to a police statement.
Culver City High School security officers assisted in the investigation, police said.
