G’Day USA Comes to Westfield Century City

Celebrating its 15th year, G’Day USA debuted a month-long pop-up in the newly revamped Westfield Century City on Jan. 5, showcasing Australian fashion and lifestyle brands.

For the first time in 2018, G’Day USA – where the U.S. and Australia meet – will host “Aussie Collective,” an innovative pop-up store featuring quintessential Aussie brands that are expanding their presence in the United States.

“What a year it will be next year as we continue to showcase the best Australia has to the vast audiences across the United States. In its 15th year, G’Day USA has become Australia’s premier public and economic diplomacy platform,” said the Honorable Julie Bishop MP, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs.

With a strong synergy between Los Angeles and Australia, the store will cater to jetsetters and locals alike, seeking out unique Australian fashion, fitness and beauty finds for the New Year. Open to the public during mall hours, Aussie Collective will feature uniquely Australian items from a number of emerging and established brands.

Special G’Day USA events will also be held at Westfield Century City throughout the month ranging from a highly anticipated yoga activation, to a star-studded G’Day USA concert and an event with Tennis Australia.

The yoga activation will take place on Jan. 14 at Westfield Century City’s new outdoor event space, the Atrium. Presented by leading wellness brand Swisse, yogis and yoga enthusiasts alike will have a chance to take a free class with Australian fitness guru, certified yoga instructor and model Ashley Hart. Vie Active will also showcase their performance-driven, stylish activewear at the event.

Marking Australia Day on January 26, G’Day USA will also present a series of events at Westfield including the Tennis Australia Australian Open Experience and Australia Day Concert. Both events are open to the public.

The G’Day USA January program also includes the annual US-Australian Dialogue on Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific on January 26, presented in partnership with the University of Sydney’s US Studies Centre, the University of Western Australia’s Perth USAsia Centre and the RAND Corporation. In addition, the calendar will include the return of the G’Day USA Film Industry Showcase, featuring a special advance screening of the new Columbia Pictures family, hybrid animated movie, “Peter Rabbit,” on January 28.
