Corporate, Real Estate and Entertainment law firm Sklar Kirsh LLP has a new litigation practice group. It will be led by Justin M. Goldstein who, for the last two decades, has represented some of the country’s largest and most well known companies in complex commercial and entertainment litigation.
Goldstein comes to Sklar Kirsh after leading the Entertainment & Media Litigation Group at Carlsmith Ball for seven years. Prior to Carlsmith Ball, Goldstein practiced in the litigation groups at O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.
“Adding litigation capabilities to the firm’s services perfectly complements our transactional practice,” said firm Co-Chairman Jeffrey Sklar who oversees the firm’s Corporate practice. “The litigation team brings several new institutional clients to our firm and will enhance our service offering to our existing entertainment, corporate and real estate clients. While we’ve had tremendous growth in other areas, litigation is the piece that completes the picture.”
Sklar Kirsh Co-Chairman Andrew Kirsh, who oversees the firm’s Real Estate practice, said in a statement, “This new practice is going to be a tremendous benefit to our real estate clients who confront complex disputes in the course of their businesses and transactions.”
“I’m excited to lead the litigation charge at Sklar Kirsh,” said Goldstein, who earned his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law and his B.A. from Brandeis University. “I’m a firm believer in proactively counseling clients on strategies for avoiding disputes, but when litigation becomes necessary, our team is seasoned and aggressive.”
