2107-2121 S. Westwood Boulevard entitlements approved by the City Planning Commission

A five-story development on Westwood Boulevard recently passed a hurdle.
The entitlements for the mixed-use development at 2107-2121 S. Westwood Boulevard has been approved by the City Planning Commission just a short time after the environmental clearances were easily approved by The Los Angeles City Council and the development is on track to begin construction as reported by Urbanize Los Angeles.
The project is a five-story building that would contain 92 units, including studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The ground floor of the development will be the site of 1,500 square feet of commercial space that sits above an underground parking garage with two levels. RBM of California received the density bonus incentives that they requested from The City Planning Commission in order to construct a building that is larger than the normal zoning of the area allows. RBM must reserve eight units for very low-income affordable housing under deed restriction to comply with the terms of the agreement with the City.
The project is being designed by DE Architects whose renderings show the design including upper-level stepbacks facing Westwood Boulevard and single-family units on the east side of the complex. According to the environmental report on the project, construction is projected to last for 28 months.
