Dillon Klincke charged in connection to August 17 robber
A man has been charged for a home-invasion robbery earlier this month in which he pistol-whipped an elderly lady.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced last week that 31-year-old Dillon Klincke (dob 6/15/91) was charged today for a daylight home-invasion robbery of a 71-year-old woman in Beverly Grove recently.
Klincke was charged with one felony count each of first-degree residential robbery and residential burglary, person present with the special allegations of personally inflicting great bodily injury, personal use of a firearm and committing a crime against someone age 65 or older.
On August 17 at about 2:15 p.m., the defendant is accused of breaking into a home in the 6600 block of W. 5th Street and pistol-whipping the elderly victim. Klincke allegedly stole some items and fled the area.
“Once inside the location the suspect pistol whipped the victim and demanded access to a safe that contained a large amount of expensive jewelry. The suspect gained access to the safe, removed the jewelry and fled the location with the victim’s property. The victim sustained bruises and lacerations as a result of being struck by the suspect,’ the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Klincke was arrested later that day.
The case remains under investigation by the LAPD.
