9,300-square-foot penthouse, located close to the top of The Century at 1 West Century Drive, was sold by Nick Molnar

Robyn Rihanna Fenty, more popularly known as Rhianna, the billionaire singer who is currently pregnant with her second child, has purchased a 40th-floor penthouse in Century City for $21 million as reported by The Real Deal.com. The luxurious 9,300-square-foot penthouse, located close to the top of The Century at 1 West Century Drive, was sold by Nick Molnar, the billionaire co-founder of tech company Afterpay, who had originally listed it for $28 million. Rhianna is now the world’s richest female musician according to Forbes Magazine. Her net worth is $1.4 billion.
Molnar lost $600,000 on the deal since he bought the property from Matthew Perry within the last two years. Matthew Perry renovated the penthouse during the time he owned it with the help of architect Scott Joyce and interior designer L.M. Pagano. The deal closed on March 31, just one day before the City of L.A.’s new “mansion tax” or Measure ULA came into effect. Had the sale closed later, it would have cost Molnar an extra $1.1 million.
The penthouse features four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views of the L.A. skyline. It also boasts four separate outdoor terraces, which offer some of the best views of the Pacific Ocean, Downtown Los Angeles, and Mount Baldy available in the city. The home has its own elevator that goes straight to the entrance of the condominium, hardwood flooring, an all-white kitchen, countertops made of marble, two kitchen islands and high-end appliances. Other amenities include a soundproofed movie theater with comfy velour couches for seating, dual bathrooms and closets, a curved master bedroom, and a private lounge.
The luxury penthouse includes $8,814 in monthly HOA dues, which cover four parking spots in the underground garage, a 24/7 concierge and security guards, access to an outdoor swimming pool and gardens, onsite storage facilities, an in-house restaurant, and conference rooms. The Century is home to several other famous people, including Denzel Washington and reality TV stars Terry and Heather Dubrow. Aaron Spelling’s widow, Candy Spelling, lives nearby on the 41st and 42nd floors of the building in the building’s stunning dual-floor penthouse.
In addition to her new penthouse, Rihanna also owns two mansions right next door to each other in the mountains above Beverly Hills. Rhianna does not live in them but rents them out to tenants. She might have made that choice because one of the Hollywood Hills mansions was the target of a stalker and a burglary ring. One of the mansions was purchased fairly recently in 2021 for $14 million. Rihanna also owns a vacation home in Barbados and a condo along the Wilshire Corridor in L.A.
