The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills Unveils its Grand Move to South Santa Monica Blvd

Iconic Cheese and Gourmet Market Expands and Adds Domenico’s Foods

By Dolores Quintana

The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, renowned as Los Angeles’ most iconic cheese and gourmet market, proudly announces a momentous relocation and expansion after five decades on Beverly Drive. Embracing a vibrant new chapter, the celebrated establishment unveiled its new flagship store at 9705 Santa Monica Blvd., spanning an impressive 5,000 square feet. This monumental move signifies a profound evolution for the store.

Designed by the world-renowned architect Nicolò Bini, the location artfully blends the timeless European charm of the original Cheese Store of Beverly Hills with a more extensive and refined culinary journey. Beyond its acclaimed array of premium cheeses and gourmet products from across the globe, the expanded store will tantalize patrons with an expertly crafted takeaway menu featuring signature sandwiches, salads, sides, and freshly-prepared delicacies.

Dominick DiBartolomeo, the owner of The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, shares his excitement about the momentous move, “For more than two decades, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills has been like a second home to me, and I am thrilled to combine all aspects of the store that our customers have cherished for the past half-century with a much more modern, robust culinary experience. The new location will offer so much more to the community that’s supported us since day one.”

An exciting addition to the expanded venue is a dedicated section showcasing Domenico’s Foods, DiBartolomeo’s esteemed Italian specialty foods brand. Initially launched at The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills with homemade, sun-dried tomatoes, Domenico’s brand has flourished, now featuring an impressive range of fresh pastas, stuffed peppers, sauces, tapenades, pestos, and more. Customers will be delighted to witness Domenico’s culinary staff expertly preparing hand-made, fresh pastas and other beloved favorites in an on-display mezzanine section.’

DiBartolomeo expresses his vision for the expanded venture, “When I acquired The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills from Norbert Wabnig, my long-time mentor and the store’s previous owner, my vision was to pay homage to everything he built over the years while also expanding the store’s offerings and customer experience. This new location allows me to do just that, combining the best of The Cheese Store with the best of what the Domenico’s brand offers to create a truly unrivaled marketplace that will amaze our current customers and attract new ones.”

As part of the expansion, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills and Domenico’s Foods will extend their reach, shipping their exceptional products to food enthusiasts nationwide. The venue will continue to host special events and exclusive tastings while providing an array of artisanal spirits, curated wines from around the world, and craft beers.

Dominick DiBartolomeo added, “It’s a privilege for me to take The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills into the future as the premier destination in all of Los Angeles known for offering the most extensive selection of gourmet cheeses, specialty products, high-quality ingredients, and unique imports from the world’s most celebrated artisanal food producers. Now, with a much wider selection of premium offerings and our incredible menu of signature sandwiches, salads, and sides, we’ve got big things in store and much more on the horizon.”
