Award-Winning Actress Lists Spanish-Style Residence
Following her recent Golden Globe victory for the Yorgos Lanthimos directed “Poor Things,” award-winning actress Emma Stone is putting her Westwood property on the market for $3.995 million.
Public records reveal that Stone acquired the Westwood residence for $2.3 million in 2019. The actress, originally from Arizona, expanded her real estate portfolio in 2021 by purchasing a house in Austin, Texas. Stone seems to be parting ways with her Los Angeles properties, having sold her Malibu home in 2022 for $4.425 million. Despite numerous attempts, Stone has not provided comments on the listing.
The home is in the exclusive Comstock Hills neighborhood; Stone’s L.A. property is a Spanish-style house constructed in the 1920s, according to listing agent Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty – Beverly Hills Brokerage. Stone conducted renovations after the purchase, including an expansion to the kitchen at the back of the house. Original features, such as beamed ceilings in the living room and a tiled courtyard at the front, were retained.
Additionally, Stone added a one-bedroom guesthouse featuring its own kitchen and living room. Lavey did not disclose the reason for Stone’s decision to sell. The 35-year-old actress used the home as a pied-à-terre during her family’s stays in L.A. Stone now co-stars in Showtime’s “The Curse,” Stone is set to appear in Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming film, “Kinds of Kindness.”
According to Lavey, there is significant demand for move-in ready homes in Los Angeles, particularly in the sub-$5 million category. He remarked, “The sub-$5 million category in L.A., in in-demand locations, is one of the more brisk markets.”
