Ralphs Grocery Welcomes Thai Deputy Prime Minister for Immersive Cultural Experience
Ralphs Grocery Company is honored to welcome Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, along with other dignitaries, to its Westwood store on Thursday, January 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Ralphs Fresh Fare at 10861 Weyburn Avenue in Westwood.
This event aims to celebrate Thai culture and cuisine in an immersive experience. Salvador Ramirez, Corporate Affairs Manager at Ralphs and Food 4 Less/Foods Company, and the owners of Golden Star will make remarks and host the event.
Customers are invited to partake in the festivities, featuring traditional Thai cuisine and live cooking demonstrations by Golden Star, a renowned brand of Jasmine rice. Chef Montre Liwirun, owner of the Westwood-based gourmet Thai street food truck 8e8, will lead the culinary demos and samplings in-store.
The celebration will kick off with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, followed by a captivating classical Thai dance performance within the store. Attendees will be treated to complimentary gift bags, recipe books, and recipe cards, encouraging them to explore Thai cooking at home.
