Suspect Now in Custody of the Beverly Hills Police
In an operation executed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the Beverly Hills Police Department successfully arrested Randy Miller, a 29-year-old resident of Los Angeles, in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred on June 6, 2023. Miller is now in custody at the Beverly Hills Police Department Jail, facing charges including attempted murder, robbery, and being a fugitive from justice.
The armed robbery transpired in the 200 block of South Hamilton Drive, where the suspect, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, confronted the victim in an apartment building. Despite pulling the trigger twice, the suspect fled with the victim’s property.
Video footage from the apartment building aided in identifying Miller, who was later traced through a fingerprint recovered from a package grabbed by the suspect before the robbery. A Ramey arrest warrant was issued for Miller, along with search warrants for his residence and vehicle(s).
The Beverly Hills Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, supported by Detective personnel, executed the warrants, leading to the safe apprehension of the suspect. Evidence from the crime and two stolen vehicles were recovered during the operation.
Randy Miller faces charges of attempted murder, robbery, and being a fugitive from justice. He is held without bail at the Beverly Hills Police Department Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on January 22, 2024, at the LAX Superior Court. Additionally, Miller is wanted in Colorado for robbery with a bail set at $100,000.
