The Beverly Hills Bar Association held their annual installation dinner September 23 at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles. The Honorable Robert Kwan installed attorney Nancy Knupfer, a partner with the law firm Danning Gill Diamond and Kollitz LLP, as President. With more than 330 attendees, the BHBA raised $50,000 for educational and community outreach. Legendary Alabama-based civil rights attorney Fred Gray, who defended Rosa Parks was guest speaker.
Outstanding service awards were presented to BHBA members. Cynthia Tobisman was honored with the President’s Award; Terry Magady received the Board of Governor’s Award; LaVonne Lawson received the Executive Director’s Award; Sarah Talei received the Barristers’ Lawrence J. Blake Award and Fred Nicholas received the Louis B. Fox Award.
