Los Angeles man Jorge Nolasco, 23, is scheduled to be arraigned today for the alleged stabbing of a restaurant worker, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes said Nolasco is scheduled to appear in Department 144 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Airport Branch. Nolasco is charged with one count of murder.
The felony complaint alleges he used a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife.
The victim was found mortally wounded on Nov. 18, 2013 near Washington Boulevard and Pacific Avenue, after his shift had ended at a nearby restaurant, the prosecutor said.
Nolasco is being held on $1 million bail. If convicted he faces a life sentence. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the case.
