Holly Robinson Peete to Present Random Acts of Kid-ness Scholarship Award

Zimmer Children’s Museum in Carthay Square announced it is debuting the Random Acts of Kid-ness (RAK) to honor extraordinary children under the age of 10 who give back to their community. Actress Holly Robinson Peete will hand the awards out Feb. 23 at the museum’s Zimmerpalooza 2014 event.

The museum is accepting nominations through Feb. 10.

RAK Award winners will receive four backstage passes for a VIP pre-event at Zimmerpalooza, daylong admission to the concert, a $150 donation to a charity of the choice, a $100 Amazon gift card, and a keepsake award.

Awardees will also be featured in an issue of L.A. Parent as well as in the Zimmer Children’s Museum blog.

Zimmerpalooza 2014: Party Like A Rockstar! is a kid-centric concert. Headlining the event are: Mista Cookie Jar (aka C.J. Pizarro); Twinkle Time (aka Ali or Alitzah); Willie Aron; Ellen and Matt; and, David Tobocman.

The event is presented by the museum’s Women’s Leadership Council and proceeds support the Zimmer’s Family Access Program of the “We All Play” Initiative.

General admission tickets, which include access to concert and all activities from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, are $25 for children and $50 for adults.
