An Airport Police sergeant was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Playa del Rey on May 30, authorities said.
An undisclosed number of other people were also injured in the crash, which happened around 2:05 p.m.
All of the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, according to an Airport Police spokeswoman.
The sergeant was conscious, alert and breathing when he was taken from the scene, she said, but no information was disclosed about the number of others injured or their conditions.
The LAPD’s West Traffic Division was investigating the crash, which did not involve any city vehicles, the spokeswoman said.
It was unclear if the sergeant was on duty at the time of the crash.
