Kate Walsh, famously known for her roles in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Dodgers game tonight.

Actress Kate Walsh will throw the ceremonial first pitch before tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-San Diego Padres game at Dodger Stadium.

Walsh is best known for her starring role in the 2007-13 ABC medical drama “Private Practice.” She will star in the NBC comedy “Bad Judge,” set to premiere Oct. 2.

Marine Corps Sgt. Kevin Price will be honored as the Veteran of the Game. Watching the television coverage of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center prompted Price to join the Marine Corps after high school.

Price is assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion based at Camp Pendleton, which provides engineering support to the Marine Expeditionary Force, including explosive ordnance disposal and mobility and survivability enhancements.

Price’s deployments include Okinawa, Japan, and Fallujah, Iraq. His accolades include the National Defense Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

Tim Leary, a pitcher on the Dodgers’ 1988 World Series championship team, will sign autographs in the right field pavilion plaza from 5-7 p.m., the same time as “Sweet” Lou Johnson, an outfielder on the Dodgers’ 1965 World Series championship team, will be signing autographs in the left field pavilion plaza.

A special extreme loaded hot dog, the Taco Dog, will be available at extreme loaded dog concession stands on the field, loge and reserve levels throughout the four-game series against the Padres. It is an all-beef hot dog topped with seasoned beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and jalapenos.

The crowd will include 250 youths from Rockstars Baseball, a South Los Angeles league, who will be attending through Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, which provides a reserve level-ticket, voucher for a Dodger Dog and beverage, a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt, and transportation to the game for groups of low-income, inner-city youths.

All auto gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates at 5 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. game.
