Nearly 1,500 Angelenos gathered at Union Station’s courtyard on Friday, July 20th for one of the summer’s most anticipated food and wine pairing events, AltaMed’s 7th annual “East LA Meets Napa.†The summer food and wine pairing celebrated the richness of Mexican food and success of Latino-owned restaurants and vineyards in California.
The event featured more than 40 food stations from Los Angeles area restaurants and more than 40 wine stations by California vineyards. Guests had the opportunity to meet chefs and winery owners while combining their favorite foods with distinctive wines to discover their own perfect blend!
Guests were also able to take a peak and purchase AltaMed’s new book, In Their Own Words II, featuring the stories and recipes from Latino Restaurant families and chefs in Southern California. The proceeds from the book and event benefit AltaMed Health Services.
