Actor Sean Rose has accused Century City based Creative Arts Agency (CAA) agent Cade Hudson of offering him sex in return for access to prominent directors and actors in Hollywood.
Hudson, 30, made the offers to Rose in 2013, via text messages, according to the LA Times. The texts, reviewed by the Times, reveal Hudson offered Rose $1,000, despite the fact that Rose told Hudson he was heterosexual.
Rose, known for his roles in “CSI: New York” and “Veronica Mars”, said he declined the offers but was “embarrassed and humiliated,” noting that he did not speak out at the time because he feared reprisals.
Hudson was a publicist at Full Pictures when he solicited Rose, but moved to CAA a year later.
In a statement released by his attorney, Hudson said, “After being my friend on social media for seven years, and liking my posts, Sean is now accusing me of soliciting a sex act from him. My recollection is that he laughed it off and remained my friend on social media.” He added, “I have the utmost sympathy for victims of harassment and abuse, but this is no such case.”
CAA said in a statement: “Cade was not employed at CAA at the time, and this is the first we are hearing of these accusations. We take allegations of misconduct seriously, and investigate them as appropriate.”
Century City-Westwood News reported in our last issue that CAA fired agent Cameron Mitchell, 24 hours after actress Demi Mann filed a civil sexual harassment lawsuit against him. Mann claimed Mitchell discovered her at the Coffee Bean in Century City and promised he would give her a role in an upcoming Marvel television program if she entered a sexual relationship with him.
