California Landmark Group has broken ground at 10306 – 10330 Santa Monica Boulevard for a new apartment complex that will stand six stories tall and have 91 units along with parking for 68 cars.
The building is designed by Abramson and Associates and will stand near the Westfield Century City Mall. The apartment building will have 11 very low income units among the one, two, and three bedroom units in the complex.
It is expected that the build will take 18 months to complete, by the estimation of the City’s environmental report, and the building’s features will include open space areas like a rooftop deck and a courtyard.
The exterior of the building will be a dark grey plaster with textured concrete. Abramson and Associates’ site describes the building’s design in this quote, “By breaking the massing into smaller volumes, the structure blends seamlessly with the larger Century City towers and the low-rise context. Recessed private balconies feature contrasting accent materials that add an air of whimsy to the exterior facade while casting dynamic shadows inside each of the units.”
