Art Directors Guild production design award nominees announced

“Birdman,” “Inherent Vice” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” are among the film nominees heading into tonight’s presentation of production design honors by the Art Directors Guild, while “Mad Men,” “Gotham” and “Game of Thrones” are among the television shows up for awards.

The guild will present its 19th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards at the Beverly Hilton. Comedian Owen Benjamin will host the ceremony.

During the event, Christopher Nolan will receive the guild’s Cinematic Imagery Award, while lifetime achievement awards will be presented to production designer Jim Bissell, senior illustrator Camille Abbott, senior set designer John P. Bruce and scenic artist Will Ferrell. Inducted into the guild’s Hall of Fame will be John Gabriel Beckman, Charles Lisanby and Walter Tyler.

George Clooney will receive a Cinematic Imagery Award during the ceremony, while production designers John Gabriel Beckman, Charles Lisanby and Walter H. Tyler will be inducted into the ADG Hall of Fame.

Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones, Julie Bowen, Mayim Bialik and Tony Hale are among those expected to serve as presenters.
