Ministry of Coffee is a Sydney-based chain of espresso bars, which also serves Turkish-inspired fare.
Australian-based coffee chain Ministry of Coffee officially opened in Westwood on Nov. 18, at 1010 Glendon Ave.
The coffee shop, which also sells Turkish-inspired fare is taking over the space formerly owned by another Australian business – Garlo’s Aussie Pie Shop.
Ex pat Australians and locals alike can head to the Sydney-based café, which sells everything from egg sandwiches and Vegemite toast to lamb merguez sausages and za’atar roasted chicken salad sandwiches.
And of course there’s a variety of coffees (including the Aussie ‘flat white’), milkshakes, smoothies, teas and juices.
Established in Sydney in 2014, MOC owners say they offer a boutique café experience, “delivering exceptional coffee and delicious food in beautiful locations around the globe.”
The company was founded on ancient Turkish coffee rituals and culture, where “taking time out for coffee is a celebration, a time to come together, an art form.” It’s also why you’ll find plenty of books on the shelves in the store peruse.
Ministry of Coffee is open from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. seven days a week.
