A woman who brandished a revolver during the holdup of a Bank of America branch in Hancock Park in March is the same suspect who robbed a West Los Angeles bank at gunpoint in January, and she may be linked to five additional heists, police announced April 24.
The latest robbery happened on March 27 in the 400 block of North La Brea Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Dept. (LAPD).
She was caught on surveillance video, just as she was on Jan. 28 during the robbery of a bank in the 100 block of North La Cienega Boulevard, police said.
During that robbery, the woman passed a handwritten demand note to a teller, and then pointed a handgun at the employee before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the LAPD.
The suspect is described as black, in her late 30s, 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing between 120 and 140 pounds. She wore a wig and glasses during the January robbery.
She should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the LAPD.
