Iyana Hutton, Nenah Davis, Destiny Sims identified as victims in Saturday morning shooting
Tragedy struck on Saturday morning in Beverly Crest when three young women were found dead after a shooting.
Police responded to a call of assault with a deadly weapon on the 2700 block of North Ellison Drive shortly after 2 a.m. Seven people had been shot, three fatally, and four injured at the scene.
The deceased were identified as Iyana Hutton, 33, from Chicago; Nenah Davis, 29, from Bolingbrook, Illinois; and Destiny Sims, 26, from Buckeye, Arizona. It remains unclear what triggered the violence or who was behind it.
The incident occurred in front of a “short-term rental” home where there had been a gathering leading up to the shooting. Two individuals with injuries transported themselves to local hospitals while two others were taken by authorities.
No more details are available yet but further updates are expected as police uncover evidence.
