Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market Hosts Fall Funtastic Harvest Festival This Sunday

Join the Community for Pumpkin Carving, Costume Parades, and Family Fun

The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market is inviting families to celebrate the season at its annual Fall Funtastic Harvest Festival this Sunday, October 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy a variety of fall-themed activities, including a pumpkin carving contest, a costume parade, face painting, and arts and crafts. The following is the schedule of events for the Harvest Festival:

8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

  • Self-Help Graphics & Art Leads a Papel Picado Stencil and Screen Printing Workshop
  • Day of the Dead Face Painting 
  • Beverly Hills Public Library Spooky Stories
  • Hands-on art-making with the Recreation Division
  • People’s Choice Pumpkin Carving / Decorating Contest – Contestants bring already decorated pumpkins to the Farmers’ Market at 9:00 a.m., and market patrons cast their vote for Best Looking Pumpkin by placing a candy corn in the box next to their pumpkin of choice.

9:00 a.m.

  • Contestants Drop Off their Carved/Decorated Pumpkins for Judging.

9:30 a.m.

  • Leela Dance Collective – Diwali Dance Performance and Community Dance Workshop

10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.

  • Halloween Costume Parade on Stage

11:00 a.m.

  •  Pacifico Ballet Company Performance and Workshop

Noon

  • Pumpkin Carving Winners Announced

In addition to the festivities, the Beverly Hills Police Department has issued a reminder for residents to celebrate Halloween safely and responsibly. Aerosol string, hair removal products, and shaving cream/gel are prohibited in public spaces from 6:00 a.m. on October 31 to 6:00 a.m. on November 1.
