Homeowners Allege Unauthorized Parties and Fake Leases
A Beverly Hills residence, known by neighbors as a contentious “party house” allegedly occupied by squatters, was the subject of a police investigation on Friday, as reported by KTLA and The Daily Mail. Situated on the border of Beverly Hills and Bel Air, in the exclusive Beverly Crest neighborhood, the property has been a source of numerous complaints from locals who claim it has been taken over by individuals hosting unauthorized events.
Neighbors assert that squatters have been residing at the home for several months, organizing raucous parties that are both advertised and charge admission. Responding to a call around 2:45 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department initially treated the situation as a burglary but later categorized it as a “civil dispute.”
No arrests were made, and the scene was cleared later.
This isn’t the first time the LAPD has been called to the property, which was previously owned by a doctor linked to insurance fraud and reportedly fled the U.S. following accusations of involvement in the death of his model girlfriend.
MDRCA Properties LLC is currently listed as the owner, but the company declared bankruptcy last year. Neighbors claim the alleged squatters presented a fake lease.
Following the police intervention, an individual with a dog arrived at the property, asserting that there would be no further parties. When questioned about whether he signed a lease, he declined to comment, stating that his lawyer advised against it. He emphasized his presence as being responsible for the safety of the people at the residence but did not confirm whether he lived there.
