BLVD 16 Features Earth Day Cocktail Menu

Earth Day
For every Greenbar Distillery cocktail served at BLVD 16 this week, a tree will be planted in honor of Earth Day. (Image courtesy BLVD 16)

Have a cocktail, plant a tree. Thanks to BLVD 16 in Westwood, spending a little green on libations will translate into a local distillery making Mother Earth a greener place.

In honor of Earth Day, which is April 22, BLVD 16 will be featuring cocktails made with Greenbar Distillery’s spirits Tuesday through Sunday. For each “Earth Day” cocktail purchased, Greenbar Distillery will plant a tree in honor of the purchaser.

Greenbar Distillery is the only organic, carbon negative distillery in Los Angeles.

This week’s cocktail offering in honor of Earth Day is actually an expansion of BLVD 16’s Trees on Tuesday program.

Offered at $9 each, BLVD 16 slates the “Earth Day” cocktails as helping patrons “carbon negative for a day.”

A sampling of the Earth Day cocktails:

– Rumpelstiltskin: Crusoe Spiced Rum, Bulleit Rye, Sweet Vermouth, House Grenadine, Angostura Bitters, and Float Campari;

-White Julep: Slow Hand White Whiskey, Muddled Mint, Fresh Lemon, and Honey;

– Mayan Magic Water: Ixa Organic Tequila, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, Muddled Mint, and Fresh Lime.

The Earth Day commemoration is the second themed promotion for BLVD 16 this month. About two weeks earlier, BLVD 16 celebrated National Grilled Cheese Day with a week-long promotion of culinary dishes inspired by the gooey dairy product.

BLVD 16 is adjacent to the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles in Westwood. The address is 10740 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles. To contact the restaurant by phone, please call (310) 474-7765. Visit the restaurant’s website at www.blvd16.com for more details about this week’s promotions, menu items, and other information.

The bar and lounge is open from 2 p.m. to 12 midnight daily.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is also available everyday at varying hours; be sure to check out the BLVD 16 website for exact hours. Valet parking is available.

For those who want to visit BLVD 16’s dining room, reservations can be made via OpenTable.
