The death was reported about 11:55 a.m. Wednesday in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard, near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Sheriff’s homicide detectives were dispatched to conduct a death investigation, he said.
“We … have people who either are homeless or in some sort of transient conditions that use this place to sleep here at night,” sheriff’s Sgt. Marcelo Quintero told reporters at the scene behind the former Jerry’s Famous Deli.
A person walked into the West Hollywood sheriff’s station and reported that a body might be located in a trash bin in the area and deputies fanned out and located the body, which was covered by some sort of blanket, according to reports from the scene.
It was not immediately clear if Kinney met with foul play or how long she has been dead.
