Proof of Residency Required; Areas West of Kenter Remain Under Evacuation Orders
Senior Lead Officer Matthew Kirk announced in an email this morning that residents living in Kenter Canyon and east of Kenter Canyon, including those on Homewood Road, are now permitted to return to their homes as of noon today. As we verified on the CAL FIRE map, the area is still under evacuation warning.
Residents west of Kenter Canyon remain under evacuation orders, and officials have not yet announced when they will be allowed to return. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
Proof of residency is required to gain access to the affected area.
Officer Kirk urged returning residents to exercise patience as traffic is expected to increase due to the influx of people re-entering the neighborhood. Law enforcement will be stationed at checkpoints to manage the process and ensure a smooth transition.
