In December 2023, the West Los Angeles Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, in collaboration with the Beverly Hills Police Department (PD) and Glendale PD, successfully identified and apprehended 13 suspects involved in an organized burglary series affecting the greater Los Angeles area and nearby communities.
On December 19, 2023, Glendale PD located a burglary group responsible for multiple incidents in Glendale. Officers observed three suspects matching the provided descriptions entering a vehicle and conducting a traffic stop. One suspect was detained, and the other two fled on foot but were swiftly apprehended. All three were arrested for residential burglary.
On December 27, 2023, West Los Angeles Area patrol officers responded to assist Beverly Hills PD in a burglary investigation. Three suspects fled on foot, and after an extensive K-9 Unit search, three were taken into custody. The suspects’ vehicle, a black Ford Explorer, was impounded, and over one million dollars worth of stolen items were recovered.
On December 28, 2023, West Los Angeles detectives, with Metropolitan Division officers, identified a residence linked to the suspects. A search uncovered additional stolen items and evidence tying the suspects to multiple crimes. Three suspects were arrested, and the case was filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
On December 30, 2023, West Los Angeles Area officers responded to burglary suspects near Hutton Drive and Melinda Drive. Four suspects were taken into custody after locating a 2018 white Mercedes GLS linked to an additional burglary in Beverly Hills. All four were arrested for conspiracy to commit burglary.
Recent investigations reveal a connection between these arrests and a larger organized burglary ring responsible for numerous cases in the greater Los Angeles area. Detectives from LAPD, Beverly Hills PD, Burbank PD, and Glendale PD are collaborating to identify remaining members and secure additional charges. Most recovered stolen property has been returned to rightful owners, but ongoing efforts aim to discover additional victims through continued investigations.
Images of the suspects provided by LAPD and Glendale PD are released, with more details to follow as the investigation progresses. Detectives believe there may be additional victims yet to be identified.
