Additional Closure Announced and Continued Closure Confirmed
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has declared the closure of the southbound Interstate 405 (I-405) off-ramp to Skirball Center Drive, effective from today, March 11, until the end of this week. The closure will be in effect daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Simultaneously, the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive is set to remain closed for up to one month. This extended closure is to facilitate repairs by construction crews.
Motorists are strongly advised to explore alternative routes during the specified closure times. Adequate signage is in place before the closed ramp on northbound I-405, guiding drivers to exit at Circle Drive. For real-time traffic information, commuters can refer to Quickmap.
Caltrans emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety guidelines in work zones and urges motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and “Slow for the Cone Zone.” These measures are crucial for the safety of both drivers and construction crews working on the repairs.
