Los Angeles’ Century City has been named the richest Southern Californian zipcode, according to an analysis of 2015 tax data by Bloomberg.
While you might have thought the richest zipcode would be Beverly Hills or Bel Air, Century City has taken the top prize. According to Bloomberg, Century City’s average income is $905,000.
Bloomberg’s Top 20 list included Palm Beach Florida (No 3) and Palo Alto in Northern California. Both zipcodes have an average income of above $1 million.
First place went to Fisher Island, Florida, with second place being Silicon Valley.
And while it might not be as wealthy as Century City, Santa Monica’s 90401 ZIP code saw the greatest gains in median home listing price last year, according to Realtor.com data. The median home price jumped 60.7 percent from 2016 to 2017 to just over $3 million.
