Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies arrested singer Chris Brown in Malibu without incident at 2 pm Friday after deputies were made aware of a warrant for his arrest for violating his parole.
TMZ reports his parole was violated as he was evicted from a Malibu rehab facility for violating “internal rules” – although it is not known exactly what Brown did.
Sheriff’s Captain Mike Parker said Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brown for the warrant at a location he was staying at in the city of Malibu.
Parker said the singer was cooperative when taken into custody.
“He is being held without bail at the Inmate Reception Center of the Los Angeles County jail in downtown Los Angeles,” Parker said. “The warrant was issued related to assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats crimes which occurred on February 7, 2009, in the City of Los Angeles. The incidents were investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and prosecuted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.”
TMZ reports the judge in the Rihanna beating case ordered Chris to live in the Malibu rehab facility for 90 days to get anger management therapy, and he completed the stint earlier this month.
However at the last court hearing, the judge modified things and ordered Chris to stay in the facility while the Washington D.C. assault case ran its course.
