Czech That Film Fest Opens in Los Angeles on Friday May 10, 2013

Czech That Film festival will kick off in Los Angeles on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 pm with screening of the Flower Buds (Poupata), winner of four Czech Lions. The screening will take place at the Billy Wilder Theater (10899 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles). The opening night will feature a special guest, the highly acclaimed Czech director Zdeněk Jiráský, who will be available after the screening for a Q&A session. The screening will be followed by After-party opened to all ticket holders at the Italian Culture Institute (1023 Hilgard Avenue, Los Angeles).

2013 FESTIVAL SCREENINGS:
Screenings will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Billy Wilder Theater
(10899 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles)
Friday, May 10 “Flower Buds†(followed by Q&A with director)
Saturday, May 11 “Gypsy†followed by “Made in Ash†(double feature)
Thursday, May 16 “Polski Film†followed by “Signal†(double feature)
Monday, May 20 “The Houseâ€
Monday, June 3 “In the Shadow†(followed by Q&A with director)

The festival will conclude in Los Angeles on Monday, June 3 at 7:30 pm with a screening
of “In the Shadow,†the new film directed by David OndÅ™Ã­Ä ek, who was one of Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch in 2013. He will be on hand to answer questions after the screening.
