Timely Response Averts Disaster as Residents Rescued from Threatened Homes
Los Angeles Fire Department officers responded to a debris flow incident at 1919 N Beverly Drive in the Beverly Crest neighborhood at 8:31 a.m. The incident unfolded, prompting a coordinated effort to assist stranded residents and manage the aftermath.
Firefighters were called to the scene, where debris flow affected seven homes in the area. In the rescue operation, six adults and nine children were successfully evacuated from the impacted area.
Of the seven homes, six sustained damage and one faced an imminent threat from the debris flow, but no injuries were reported.
In Beverly Glen, as reported by KTLA, families with homes near Beverly Glen Boulevard and Caribou Lane were forced to flee around 2:00 a.m. after hearing an ominous rumbling. Debris sliding off of the hillside took a home down off of its foundations and caused a gas leak when the gas main was severed. A piano was ejected from the house and was found in the middle of the street.
