DoorDash Driver Defecates in Lobby of Brentwood Apartment Building

Radio host shares footage of incident on social media

By Dolores Quintana

A DoorDash driver was caught on security camera defecating on a trash can after dropping off a food delivery in Brentwood.

One of the co-hosts of the K-EARTH 101 morning show, Lisa Stanley, watched the building’s security camera video after a neighbor reported finding feces in the building’s lobby. Stanley is also the building’s manager, so she reviewed the recent security footage and saw what happened.

CBS LA quoted Stanley, who said, “I checked that video and I literally threw up, I was so sick. …There is no scenario in the world for what I saw to happen. This is a health problem here because then you can be sure she was going to deliver other meals.”

Stanley added, “Had she asked, I might have let her use my bathroom!”

Stanley then posted the video to Twitter and contacted DoorDash. DoorDash issued Stanley a refund and a $20 dollar credit to her account. She was assured that the offending DoorDash contractor was removed from the service and was no longer able to work for the company as a delivery person. The company stated that any details of their investigation would be kept private. DoorDash also provided links to file a police report or an insurance claim for the damage to the building’s property.

CBS LA quoted DoorDash’s statement about the incident, DoorDash said, “The trust and safety of our community is extremely important and what’s shown in this video is absolutely unacceptable and disturbing. We’re deactivating this Dasher and are actively working to be in touch with building staff so we can reimburse for the cleaning costs. We will also cooperate with law enforcement on any investigation.”
