Down to Earth

Bernie Bubman, founder of Great Earth Vitamins, has launched Earthbar, a new cutting-edge concept in the world of superfoods, supplements and nutrition. In a modern, yet down-to-earth format, Earthbar adds new elements to the retail health scenario. The highlight is an organic drink and food bar. Offerings include fresh juices, wellness shots, teas and tonics, superfood shakes and hand-made food items, just to name a few.

35 years ago, the pharmacist and entrepreneur with a passion for health and well-being, opened his first Great Earth Vitamin store on Pico Blvd. Bubman recalls, “People came from all across town because we had the best products, lowest prices and a well-trained staff.â€

As the health and nutrition world becomes a multi-billion dollar industry, the demand for nutritional products and foods has become greater than ever. As more people come to understand the importance of healthy diet and proper supplementation, Bubman, and his son Noah (pictured, at right), are answering the demand with the recent opening of their Santa Monica store.

“It’s about nourishing the body with nutrients from nature,†says Noah, who carefully selects every product sold, and emphasizes daily intake of superfoods, blue-green algae and multi-vitamins. “People want the real deal in the products they consume–organic, pure, and effective. We are offering just that.†The Santa Monica-based father and son team also stock a comprehensive line of natural body and hair care products from the Amazon and African cooperatives, nutritional bars, and protein powders. Earthbar also features the Great Earth Vitamin line of supplements, a proven leader of high quality natural supplements. “People are naturally becoming more educated about what true health entails and we’ve noticed the younger generation is more proactive in sourcing the best products and ingredients to help them achieve it.â€
