One person suffered minor injuries Wednesday in a fire that started in a garage and spread to a duplex in South Los Angeles.
The flames were reported at 4:17 a.m. at 4250 S. Wadsworth Ave., said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire began in a detached garage and spread to a nearby shed before noving into the attic of the duplex to which it is attached, Stewart said.
One patient
The fire was knocked down in 22 minutes by 55 firefighters, Stewart said, adding that one person was taken to a hospital in fair condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
