Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal, SpaceX and Tesla Motors, is getting a divorce from British actress Talulah Riley — for the second time — and it appears to be an amicable split. The South African-born billionaire filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on New Year’s Eve, it was reported today. The couple first wed in 2010, split in January 2012 and remarried in July 2013.
The couple said in a joint statement about their latest breakup that that they are splitting amicably and that Musk has agreed to give Riley $16 million in cash and other assets as part of a settlement. They added that they remain friends.
A divorce filing said property would be split based on a prenuptial agreement, People reported on its website.
