Santa Monica and La Cienega Among Areas Affected by LADWP Road Work
City officials announced this week that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will begin a pavement restoration project on North La Cienega Boulevard following the completion of a water mainline replacement.
The project will involve lane closures and partial intersection shutdowns along La Cienega Boulevard between Fountain Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard as LADWP crews repave and restripe the roadway.
Drivers should expect traffic delays and are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes during construction hours, which are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, March 28, 2025: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Traffic lanes)
- Saturday, March 29, 2025: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Traffic lanes and intersection)
- Saturday, April 5, 2025: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Traffic lanes and intersection)
- Monday, April 7, 2025: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Traffic lanes)
Sections of the intersection at Santa Monica Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard will also be affected.
