A Construction Worker Was Trapped Under Forklift Monday Morning
Tragedy struck at a construction site on 970 N Moraga Drive in Bel Air, where an adult male worker became trapped beneath a toppled forklift carrying steel rebar.
Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) crews responded as quickly as possible, including specialized Urban Search & Rescue teams, but the worker’s condition was beyond medical help. LAFD officials confirmed that the worker has been declared dead at the scene, with no other injuries reported.
Efforts are underway to secure and stabilize the area as LAFD personnel prepare to assist the Medical Examiner in the discreet and dignified recovery of the worker’s remains.
The name of the worker who died in the incident has not yet been released. Responses from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner and CAL OSHA were not available by press time.
