Filming is underway on a Tarzan 3D action adventure starring Alexander Skarsgard as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt and two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz are also in the cast.
David Yates, whose credits include the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters, is directing the feature, which is being shot at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, in southeastern England, as well as on location around the United Kingdom.
The film is slated for release on July 1, 2016, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and, in select territories, by Village Roadshow Pictures.
