A screening of the first episode of “Manhattan,” followed by a panel discussion with the creative team and cast of the WGN America drama about the Manhattan Project, will be held tonight at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.
The panel discussion will be moderated by former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who unsuccessfully sought the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. It will also include series creator Sam Shaw, Emmy winner Thomas Schlamme, who directed the first episode, and cast members John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Daniel Stern, Ashley Zukerman and Rachel Brosnahan.
The program will begin at 7 p.m., preceded by a reception at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and free for center members and include admission to the reception.

“Manhattan,” which was filed in New Mexico, follows the scientists working in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to build the first atomic bomb in the 1940s and their families as they attempt to coexist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives.
